Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine Set for IMAX Release with Thrilling New Poster

The 28th installment of the 'Detective Conan' movie series, 'Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine,' is set to release simultaneously in IMAX theaters.

'Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine' follows Conan and Kogoro Mori as they unravel the mystery behind an avalanche shooting incident from 10 months ago. The film features Detective Kansuke, who begins to recall memories of the case, leading to a thrilling whiteout mystery action set in the snowy mountains. The announcement of the IMAX release was accompanied by the unveiling of a new IMAX poster.

The IMAX poster captures the intense gaze of Detective Mori, with one eye open, reflecting the film's title. Known as the 'Sleeping Detective' due to Conan's use of a voice changer to solve cases while Mori is unconscious, the character has been a beloved figure in both the manga and anime. However, in this film, Mori takes on a more serious role, showcasing a different side of his character. Audiences can expect to see Mori in an awakened state, actively participating in the action, which will be presented in the stunning clarity and scale of the IMAX format.

The newly released stills further heighten anticipation for the intense whiteout mystery. The serious expressions of Conan, Detective Mori, Kansuke, and Amuro suggest a high-stakes investigation, while the introduction of Mori's former colleague 'Wani' adds intrigue to the plot. The film promises breathtaking action scenes set against snowy landscapes, blizzards, and the expansive backdrop of a high-altitude observatory with a massive parabolic antenna.

'Detective Conan: Black Iron Submarine' is scheduled to premiere in South Korea on July 16.
