Christopher Tillman, Vice President of IMAX International Development and Distribution, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, "We are thrilled to bring the dramatic landscapes and captivating story of 'Harbin' to Korean audiences as the first Korean film specially formatted for IMAX. Some scenes will expand to a 1.90:1 aspect ratio, filling the screen and allowing audiences to immerse themselves further into 'Harbin.'"
The IMAX poster offers a glimpse into the film's expansive three-country global locations and its striking mise-en-scène. It features General Ahn Jung-geun (played by Hyun Bin) standing alone on the frozen Hobsgol Lake at minus 40 degrees, showcasing both the overwhelming visuals and the deep contemplation of General Ahn Jung-geun. An event at CGV theaters will provide IMAX viewers with an exclusive IMAX original poster.
