'Devils Stay' is an occult horror film that unfolds over three days of a funeral, where an exorcism is performed to prevent something sinister from awakening in the heart of a deceased daughter. On October 21 (Korean time), the international film magazine Variety reported the film's release date along with its international trailer.
Variety introduced the gripping synopsis of 'Devils Stay' and highlighted the film's lead actors, mentioning Park Shin-yang known for 'Neighborhood Lawyer Jo Deul-ho', 'Man on the Edge', and 'The Big Swindle'; Lee Min-ki from 'Crash', 'My Liberation Diary', and 'Temperature of Love'; and Lee Re from 'Okay! Madam', 'Peninsula', and 'Hellbound'. The magazine also noted Showbox, the film's distributor, stating, "Despite the challenging times for Korean cinemas, Showbox tasted success with this year's top-grossing film 'Exhuma', which earned over $84 million at the Korean box office."
