Jung Woo-sung Wins Best Actor at 2024 Buil Film Awards for '12.12: THE DAY'

Jung Woo-sung has been awarded the Best Actor prize at the 2024 Buil Film Awards for his role in '12.12: THE DAY'.

The 2024 Buil Film Awards took place on the 3rd at the Grand Bloom of Signiel Busan in Jung-dong, Haeundae-gu, Busan. The event was hosted by actors Go Ah-sung and Kim Dong-wook. Originally established in 1958, the Buil Film Awards were revived in 2008 and have continued to this day.

Jung Woo-sung expressed his excitement, saying, "This is my first time receiving the Buil Film Award since my debut. I felt like my heart was going to burst. My heart raced once, and as I stood here, I needed to calm down, but I still don't know how to express my gratitude." He continued, "This award feels too heavy to hold alone. I believe it was actor Hwang Jung-min who reflected the anguish of my character, Tae-shin, from the opposite side. I keep thinking of Jung-min's radiant presence. Jung-min, I received the award. Thank you," expressing his gratitude to his colleague Hwang Jung-min. He added, "I am grateful to director Kim Sung-soo, who is inseparable from me, for making a film that received great love from the audience. I thought it was a reward, but once again, the Buil Film Awards have given great value to Tae-shin with this prestigious award, and I am thankful."
