Zookeeper Song Young-kwan Plans to Visit Giant Panda Fu Bao in China
Song Young-kwan, a zookeeper, has announced plans to visit Fu Bao, the giant panda, in China.
On the 27th, a press screening and media conference for the film 'Goodbye, Grandpa' was held at Lotte Cinema Konkuk University Entrance in Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Director Shim Hyung-jun, along with zookeepers Kang Chul-won and Song Young-kwan, attended the event.
'Goodbye, Grandpa' is a documentary film that tells the story of Fu Bao, the first giant panda born through natural breeding in Korea in July 2020, along with her panda family and the zookeepers.
Zookeeper Song stated, “Today was the first time I watched the movie. It was a time to share sad emotions through the process of parting at a special time.” He added, “It reminded me of the precious moments with Fu Bao. I thought I should go home and revisit those cherished times. I am the person who loves the Bao family the most from the closest distance. I hope the audience feels the same way.”
Recently, Zookeeper Kang visited China. Zookeeper Song mentioned, “Zookeeper Kang went first and saw Fu Bao. Just hearing that she is doing well was relieving,” and added, “I want to meet her with a more comfortable heart. I hope it doesn't go beyond this year.”
'Goodbye, Grandpa' is set to be released on September 4.
