'Favorite Restaurant' is a pleasant and warm mystery drama that depicts the story of workaholic English teacher Miwon, who joins forces with local people to find her mother within the golden time of 48 hours after she suddenly disappears. Starting with the crank-in on June 7th, filming was completed on July 18th with episode 26.
'Favorite Restaurant' depicts the story of Miwon Baekban's owner Ye-boon suddenly disappearing, and his daughter Mi-won joining forces with the locals to find her mother, with pleasant laughter, repeated twists, and a warm narrative, giving the audience fresh fun and entertainment. It is expected to impress you. Don Lee, who is active as an actor and producer, participated in everything from item selection to scenario planning development and production as the planning director and producer of 'Favorite Restaurant'.
Actress Joo Hyun-young plays the role of Mi-won, an English instructor working in Gangnam School District 8 who faces a big change in her daily life that only focuses on work as she sets out to find her mother who suddenly disappeared. Joo Hyun-young is expanding her acting spectrum in a variety of works such as the 'SNL Korea' series, the drama 'Weird Lawyer Woo Young-woo', 'Surviving as a Celebrity Manager', and 'Yeol-nyeo Park's Contract Marriage', and is expected to show off her acting transformation in 'Favorite Restaurant'. Actress Kim Mi-kyung will play the role of Ye-bun, the owner of Miwon Baekban, who never uses seasonings, and the mother of Joo Deok-dong, and is expected to once again capture the hearts of the audience with her unrivaled character digestion. 'Favorite Restaurant' is an independent art film production support project from the Korean Film Council in 2023, and includes the feature-length award-winning film 'Rain. Heavenly Death', which was highlighted by Watcha in 2024, as well as 'Ivy', '1+1', and many short films. Director J. Han, whose films were invited to the Jeonju International Film Festival and the London Film Festival, took charge of directing. Director Jay Han expressed his thoughts, saying, "It is a film with touching and differentiated beauty. All the actors on set perfectly portrayed their characters with great passion. I will do my best for the remaining work until the release."
‘Favorite Restaurant’ is scheduled to meet audiences in theaters in 2025 after post-production.
