Netflix produces 'Revelations' starring Ryu Jun-yeol, Shin Hyun-bin

Following 'Hell', Netflix is once again joining hands with director Yeon Sang-ho and writer Choi Gyu-seok to produce the film 'Revelations'. 'Revelations' depicts the story of a pastor who believes that it is a revelation from God to punish the culprit of a disappearance, and a detective in charge of a disappearance case who is haunted by visions of his dead brother, as they pursue their respective beliefs.
Director Yeon Sang-ho and writer Choi Gyu-seok, who asked strong questions about the universal theme of life and death through the unconventional and fresh setting of a sentence to hell, present a new world through 'Revelations'. Director Yeon Sang-ho, who has raised sharp questions about human nature through the portrayal of humans living in a society in chaos, is expected to once again question the strange boundaries between religion and humanity, faith and beliefs, and good and evil through 'Revelations'. 'Revelations' is based on the cartoon of the same name released in 2022 by writer Choi Gyu-seok and director Yeon Sang-ho of 'Awl', who have shown sharp perspectives and captivating storytelling. Attention is being paid to how director Yeon Sang-ho and writer Choi Gyu-seok, who have explored and depicted the bare faces of weak humans through works such as 'Pseudo' and 'Hell', will complete an even more expanded worldview through 'Revelations'.
The lineup for ‘Revelations’ was also revealed. Actor Ryu Jun-yeol has created his own character from the drama 'Reply 1988' to the movies 'A Taxi Driver', 'Solo', 'Money', 'Owl', 'Alien + Human', and the Netflix series 'The 8 Show'. He plays the role of Min-chan, a pastor who follows God’s revelations. Minchan is a pastor who receives a pioneering mission and runs a church in a small local city. He is a person who one day receives a revelation from God that Yang Rae, who came to church, is the culprit who kidnapped his son, and tries to punish him. Ryu Jun-yeol plans to deliver a crazy and intense performance as Min-chan, who runs between sincere faith and cruel reality with the only goal of condemnation.
From realistic characters in dramas such as ‘Hospital Playlist’, ‘Chaebol Family’s Youngest Son’, ‘Ghost’, and ‘Tell Me I Love You’ to delicate and warm acting that touches your inner self. Actor Shin Hyun-bin, who is building his own filmography with a wide range of acting, plays Yeon-hee, a detective who follows Yang Rae, a suspected suspect in a disappearance case, and suspicious pastor Min-chan. Yeonhee is a character who continues to be haunted by visions of her younger sister, who died from a terrible crime in the past. Shin Hyun-bin plays Yeon-hee, who chases the criminal despite being in a devastated state of mind, adding tension to the play and delivering a more dense performance. This is the first time Ryu Jun-yeol and Shin Hyun-bin have acted together.
