'Inside Out 2' ranked first at the box office on the first day of release

According to the integrated movie ticket network, 'Inside Out 2' attracted 194,852 audiences on the 12th, the day of its release. A total of 196,508 viewers were mobilized through previews prior to release.
'Inside Out 2' is an animation film about the crisis and adventure that begins again when 13-year-old Riley's peaceful daily life is shattered as new unfamiliar emotions such as anxiety, embarrassment, boredom, and envy appear in the emotional control center in Riley's head. The previous film, ‘Inside Out’ (2015), attracted 4.95 million viewers.
‘Drive’, which was released on the same day, entered second place. The daily audience reached 14,332 and the cumulative audience reached 20,082.
'Drive' is a trunk kidnapping thriller depicting the desperate struggle of a popular YouTuber who is kidnapped by an unknown person and must earn 650 million won by broadcasting live for an hour from the trunk of a running car. Park Joo-hyun, Kim Yeo-jin, Kim Do-yoon, and Jeong Woong-in appeared.
‘Wonderland’ fell two places to third place. 12,609 people were added during the day, bringing the total to 524,276 people.
'Wonderland' is a movie about reuniting with a loved one through Wonderland, a video call service that restores dead people with artificial intelligence (AI). Tang Wei, Suzy, Park Bo-gum, Jung Yu-mi, and Choi Woo-shik starred.
4th place was ‘Furiosa: Mad Max Saga’ and 5th place was ‘Following’.
As of 8:50 a.m. on the 13th, 'Inside Out 2' ranked first at 62.2% in real-time reservation rate. The second place in advance reservation rate is ‘Hijack 1971’ (6.2%), and the third place is ‘Escape’ (3.6%).
