EL sets out to find evidence related to the missing Shin Hye-sun
EL, who has shown an unrivaled presence in each work with her unique personality and charisma, will show off another charm by playing the role of detective Oh Young-joo in 'Following'. 'Following' Goo Jeong-tae (played by Byun Yo-han), a real estate agent whose hobby is spying, witnesses the death of Han So-ra (played by Shin Hye-sun), an SNS influencer he was observing, and searches around Han So-ra to clear the name of the murderer. It is an unfolding mystery chase thriller movie.
EL has established himself as a trustworthy actor by working in works such as the movies ‘Inside Men’, ‘Wind Wind Wind’, ‘Call’, and the dramas ‘Goblin’, ‘My Liberation Journal’, and ‘Happiness Battle’. Regardless of the length, he not only brings a strong impact to his work, but is also building his own solid filmography with irreplaceable charm. EL, who has shown a variety of charms in various genres such as crime, fantasy, romance, and horror, is taking on another challenge by playing the role of detective Oh Young-joo in the mystery tracking thriller 'Following'.
Oh Young-joo is a homicide detective investigating the disappearance of famous influencer Han So-ra. He does not miss a single clue that other people easily miss, and investigates the case meticulously and persistently. Moreover, as he is a character who observes the events in the work without any personal opinion, the audience follows the gaze of Oh Young-joo, played by EL, and looks into the mystery together.
EL said, "I was looking forward to being able to show a different side of myself that I haven't seen before. I think a lot of my rough and tomboy-like personality came out." Director Kim Se-hwi, who was in charge of directing, said, “Oh Young-joo is an observer, so we needed someone with accurate eyes and an unwavering gaze.”
‘Following’ is scheduled to be released in theaters in May.
