On the 15th, a press preview and press conference for the movie 'THE ROUNDUP: PUNISHMENT' was held at Megabox COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Director Heo Myung-haeng and actors Ma Dong-seok, Kim Mu-yeol, Park Ji-hwan, and Lee Dong-hwi attended.
'THE ROUNDUP: PUNISHMENT' is about detective Ma Seok-do (played by Ma Dong-seok), who returns to fight against Baek Chang-gi (played by Kim Moo-yeol), a former special forces mercenary who runs a large-scale online illegal gambling organization, and IT industry genius CEO Jang Dong-cheol (played by Lee Dong-hwi). ), a movie depicting a crime eradication operation carried out together with the Kwangsoo Unit and the Cyber Team.
Ma Dong-seok plays the role of Ma Seok-do, a ‘monster detective’ who always does his best to catch criminals in order to avoid making innocent victims. Kim Moo-yeol played the role of Baek Chang-gi, a mercenary-turned-villain who runs a large-scale illegal online gambling organization. Park Ji-hwan played the role of Jang Yi-soo, who returns to receive an unexpected offer based on his past experiences. Lee Dong-hwi appears as Jang Dong-cheol, the operator of an online illegal gambling organization disguised as a genius CEO.
Kim Moo-yeol gained 10 kg for his villain character. Regarding the action, Kim Moo-yeol explained, "I did simple and quick actions without any small movements. When the opportunity came, I tried to show that I did not miss it and did not hesitate." He continued, "The director is famous as an action director. The action direction on set was very helpful. Actor Kim Ji-hoon, who mainly did action with me, is also a former member of the national boxing team. I also received a lot of help from actor Kim Ji-hoon on set. Seoul Action, who played opposite me, “The team worked well together and I was able to film safely and easily, even though it was difficult.”
'THE ROUNDUP: PUNISHMENT' will be released on the 24th.
