Because the new sword can be used for a variety of purposes, the characters in the movie compete to obtain the new sword for different purposes. The new sword can open the time gate to the past or future, and can explode or stop the alien atmosphere 'Hava' that kills humans. It can also break out alien prisoners trapped in human bodies.
Meanwhile, people in the past believed that divine swords could cure illnesses. In order to obtain this new sword, the characters in the movie fight for different purposes. In Part 1, after a fierce battle, Ian (Kim Tae-ri) takes possession of the new sword, but Muruk (Ryu Jun-yeol) chases after Ian, two freshmen Heukseol (Yeom Jeong-ah) and Cheongwoon (Cho Woo-jin) chase after the new sword to catch a monster, and Jajang, an alien prisoner trying to escape. (Kim Eui-seong), as well as the blind swordsman Neung-pa (Jin Seon-gyu), who tries to open his eyes using the new sword, foreshadow that the battle for the new sword is not over, raising curiosity about the ending of Part 2, which will finally be completed.
The Gate of Time is a passage that connects the past and the future. In Part 1, Ian, Guard, and Thunder (Kim Woo-bin), who were in modern times, were able to pass through it and come to the Goryeo Dynasty in order to imprison a modern-day alien prisoner. The door of time can be opened with the energy of the divine sword. In other words, only the Guard, Thunder, and Designer who can handle the energy of the Divine Sword can open the Gate of Time. After obtaining the new sword, Ian must find the missing Thunder in order to return to the future, and Jajang must also find the designer for the same reason. While curiosity is aroused as to whether Ian will be able to find the missing Thunder, open the door of time, and return to the future to protect everyone, the joining forces of those who try to stop him and take away the new sword will add tension to the play and increase immersion to the fullest. .
Hava is a red-colored alien atmosphere that causes death to humans. The master designer of the alien prisoners trapped in human bodies plans to blow up Hava and change the Earth's atmosphere, allowing the alien prisoners to escape and take over the Earth. With only 48 minutes left until Hava explodes, Ian risks everything to return to the future to prevent it. In addition, Muruk, who helps Ian in every crisis, foretells that they will head to the future together, doubling expectations about how the relationship between the two characters will change.
