Actor Jeong Jae-young of the movie 'Noryang' said, "I felt Yi Sun-sin's agony from actor Kim Yun-seok."

Actor Jeong Jae-young of the movie 'Noryang: Sea of Death' talked about Kim Yun-seok, who played the role of Yi Sun-sin, with whom he worked together on set.

Actor Jeong Jae-young was interviewed about the movie 'Noryang: Sea of Death' (directed by Kim Han-min) at a cafe located in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 19th.

'Noryang: Sea of Death' is a war action masterpiece depicting Admiral Yi Sun-sin's final battle to completely annihilate the Japanese army trying to retreat from Joseon, seven years after the outbreak of the Japanese Invasion of Korea. Jeong Jae-young plays Jin Lin, the governor of the Ming Dynasty navy.

Jeong Jae-young plays Jinrin, who respects Admiral Yi Sun-sin enough to call him ‘Noya’ (an honorific term for someone). He mentioned an actual historical event and explained, "I have great respect for (General Yi Sun-sin). They say he actually used words like that. He is actually two years older than me. Jin Lin is a reasonable person."

In the play, Jinlin disagrees with Yi Sun-sin and bickers and confronts them, but also shows a kind of bromance chemistry. Jeong Jae-young added, "It made me wonder how much of a general Admiral Yi Sun-sin was, so much so that he would have called him Noya. Even though he was a general from a different country, I think he respected him as a military man."

Regarding his chemistry with actor Kim Yun-seok, who played the role of Yi Sun-sin, on set, he said, "It was so good. I knew from the moment I received the scenario that Yoon-seok would do it. When he wasn't wearing makeup, he was my older brother, but the atmosphere on set was not light. "At that time, I couldn't laugh and talk. It was a heavy work. I felt like Admiral Yi Sun-sin carrying all kinds of agony and burdens. I can't believe how difficult it must have been for me. Throughout the filming," he said.

Admiral Yi Sun-sin is a figure that all Korean citizens know and respect. Jeong Jae-young, who said that his affection for Yi Sun-sin increased while filming 'Noryang', said, "The more I look at it, the more people like this will appear.
