The movie 'Spring in Seoul' surpassed 5 million views in just 14 days of its release and is heading towards 10 million views.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie theater admission tickets, on the 5th, 'Spring in Seoul' (directed by Kim Seong-su) attracted 198,719 viewers, bringing the cumulative number of viewers to 5,068,152. ‘Spring in Seoul’ has never missed the top spot at the box office since its release on the 22nd of last month.

‘Spring in Seoul’ achieved the feat of exceeding 5 million viewers in 14 days. This is the fastest box office trend since 'Crime City 3', the only movie to exceed 10 million viewers in 2023. Among Korean films released in 2023, 'Smuggling' and 'Concrete' are ranked 2nd and 3rd in box office, respectively. The result surpassed the box office success of ‘Utopia’.

In addition, 'Spring in Seoul' was the only Korean film released in the winter after 2020, which entered a recession with the outbreak of the pandemic, to surpass 5 million viewers. Meanwhile, 'Spring in Seoul' released a special poster on December 12, 1979, containing the images of the people who were in the tense scene that night.
