‘Spring in Seoul’ achieved the feat of exceeding 5 million viewers in 14 days. This is the fastest box office trend since 'Crime City 3', the only movie to exceed 10 million viewers in 2023. Among Korean films released in 2023, 'Smuggling' and 'Concrete' are ranked 2nd and 3rd in box office, respectively. The result surpassed the box office success of ‘Utopia’.
In addition, 'Spring in Seoul' was the only Korean film released in the winter after 2020, which entered a recession with the outbreak of the pandemic, to surpass 5 million viewers. This is a score that surpasses 'The Managers of Namsan', which was released on January 22, 2020 and attracted a total of 4.75 million viewers, recording the highest score among Korean films released in the winter after the pandemic.

Second place went to ‘Single in Seoul’ (directed by Park Beom-soo), which attracted 19,329 viewers and accumulated a total of 263,150 viewers. ‘Monster’ (directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda) ranked third, attracting 13,652 viewers and accumulating 143,732.
Meanwhile, 'Spring in Seoul' released a special poster on December 12, 1979, containing the images of the people who were in the tense scene that night.
The released poster captures the intense eyes and atmosphere of those who are competing as rebels and suppressors, from Hwang Jung-min to Jung Woo-sung, Lee Sung-min, Park Hae-joon, and Kim Sung-gyun in a black and white background. The sight of those who want to devour the country, those who want to protect it, and those who make different choices regarding the fate of the Republic of Korea come together, giving a vivid sense of reality as if you are encountering the people who were involved in the military rebellion in 1979 right before your eyes.
