Director Yoo Ji-young of the movie 'Birth'

The pictorial for the December issue of 'Elle' directed by Yoo Ji-young from the movie 'Birth' has been released.

'Birth' is a hyper-realistic drama depicting the twists and turns of lovers who pursue different lives due to an unplanned pregnancy. This film is the second feature-length film following ‘Suseongmot.’

It was screened at the 27th Busan International Film Festival, 48th Seoul Independent Film Festival, 25th Seoul International Women's Film Festival, 18th Paris Korean Film Festival, 10th Marie Claire Film Festival, etc., and was the only Korean film at the 57th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The film entered the competition category and was honored with the Proxima Grand Prix (Grand Prize) award.

In the published pictorial, director Yoo Ji-young attracts attention with a unique atmosphere and charisma as well as a work that interprets a topic that resonates with the same generation in her own style. The interview included the message and directing intention of the work directly conveyed by director Yoo Ji-young, who introduced 'Birth' as 'a work that reflects the 30s who were conflicted by the gap between reality and ideals.'
