Movie '12.12: THE DAY' exceeds 2 million viewers in 6 days of release

'12.12: THE DAY' is a movie depicting the nine hours of action to prevent the rebellion of the new military regime that occurred in the capital Seoul on December 12, 1979.
According to the Korea Film Council's integrated forecast network on the 28th, '12.12: THE DAY' was viewed by 239,666 audiences on the 27th alone. It ranked first in the overall box office with a cumulative audience of 2,132,365. In addition, despite the fact that it may be somewhat unfamiliar to visitors who have not experienced the situation at the time, there was an even distribution of reservations by age, with 25.7% in their 20s and 30% in their 30s based on the CGV website.


Third place was the movie 'How Will They Live' (director Hayao Miyazaki), which was viewed by 4,972 audiences the previous day, with a cumulative audience of 1,954,973. ‘How Will You Live?’ is a fantasy transcending time and space in which Mahito, a boy who stumbles into a mysterious world that transcends time and space, meets a mysterious heron.
Meanwhile, '12.12: THE DAY' was released on the 22nd and is currently being screened to rave reviews.
