'Switch' director Lee Min-jung is easy-going and lively

Director Ma Dae-yoon met with Ten Asia online on the 3rd and told various stories about 'Switch', which is about to be released.
'Switch' is the story of Park Kang (played by Kwon Sang-woo), a top star who was enjoying a glamorous single life, a 10 million actor ranked 0th in casting and a self-proclaimed scandal maker, when his life changes 180 degrees on Christmas.
Director Ma Dae-yoon has been building his skills step by step by participating as a screenplay writer in works of various genres such as 'Princess Deokhye', 'The Phone', 'Detective: The Beginning', and 'Wandering Blade'. Through his feature film debut, 'Yes, Family', which depicts the unusual story of an ordinary family, he resonated with many people and made a strong impression. We meet the audience with ‘Switch’, which opens the door to the release of Korean films in the new year.

He continued, "Compared to other genres, it was well written. In fact, it seems difficult to come up with a well-written scenario. It had its own difficulties. Still, I remember writing this scenario with a smile. I worked on a movie set, “Because I knew a certain amount, it was convenient because I skipped the process of reporting on foot,” he added.
In the play, Oh Jeong-se played Jo Yoon. Jo Yoon is Park Kang's manager who specializes in post-cleaning and is an actor who is dominating the film industry with his outstanding work vision and outstanding acting skills. Lee Min-jung played the role of Soo-hyeon. Soo-hyeon is Park Kang's first love who broke up with her 10 years ago, and she is a person who boldly gives up studying in the United States for the sake of love and turns into a realistic wife with a high level of living skills.
Regarding the casting of Oh Jeong-se, director Ma Dae-yoon said, "Isn't the texture of life different from that of actor Kwon Sang-woo? It's a case that I have taken step by step from minor roles to supporting roles until now. In terms of image, they are opposites, so I thought that the chemistry would be good when the two switched." “It was nice that he was able to do it even though it was a difficult schedule,” he said.

Child actors Park So-yi and Kim Jun were also mentioned. Director Ma Dae-yoon said, "I don't know if this expression is correct in the case of So-yi and Jun-i, but they have already received so much love that it can be verified. There are two ways to cast child actors: looking at their existing portfolios and catching their images. "It's a way to audition. If you don't have the image you're looking for in your existing portfolio, I wanted to audition, but the role was too bad," he said.
Also, "Soyi is two years older, so for the fun of the movie, I made little Junyi her older brother. Soyi and Junyi saw the movie for the first time at the VIP screening yesterday, and they both said they enjoyed it. I think it's really fortunate," he said with Lee Min-jung. Regarding Park So-yi's resemblance, she said, "Actually, when I was filming, I didn't think that Min-jeong and So-i looked alike. I thought they had 'pretty' eyes, and I heard a lot of people saying they were similar. I didn't cast Min-jeong with that in mind." .
Meanwhile, 'Switch' will be released on the 4th.
