Hyun Bin's 'Negotiation' takes first place in opening weekend

The movie 'Negotiation' (directed by Lim Sun-rye) starring Hwang Jung-min, Hyun Bin, and Kang Ki-young ranked first at the box office on the first weekend of its release.

According to the Youngjin Committee's movie theater ticket integrated computer network on the 23rd, 'negotiation' mobilized 163,185 people on the 21st and 232,050 on the 22nd. The cumulative number of viewers reached 660,698.

As a result, 'Negotiation' maintained the top spot at the box office for 5 consecutive days, beating 'Avatar: Path of Water', which is cruising towards exceeding 10 million viewers.

In celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday, on this day and the 24th, the main characters of 'Negotiation', Hwang Jung-min, Hyun Bin, Kang Ki-young, and director Lim Soon-rye, are scheduled to meet the audience directly through stage greetings.

Meanwhile, 'Negotiation' is a movie depicting the negotiation operation between a diplomat and a local National Intelligence Service agent who went to Afghanistan to rescue Koreans who were taken hostage by the Taliban in the worst kidnapping incident. It is being screened to rave reviews.
