Son Seok-gu and Kim Dong-hwi confirmed for lead roles in ‘Comment Unit’
As a result of Ten Asia's coverage on the 27th, Son Seok-gu and Kim Dong-hwi were cast and confirmed to appear as the leads in the movie 'Comment Unit'.
The movie 'Comment Unit' is based on the novel 'Comment Unit' of the same name by author Jang Kang-myeong and deals with the National Intelligence Service's illegal election intervention case as a motif. It contains the story of those who infiltrated Internet sites amidst political conflict, manipulated public opinion with malicious comments, and attempted to neutralize the sites.
Director Ahn Gook-jin, who directed 'Alice in Earnestland', is taking the lead and is planning a crank-in film this coming spring.
Son Seok-gu, who achieved double success with the JTBC drama 'My Liberation Journal' and the movie 'Crime City 2' last year, continues to work hard in this year's New Year. Son Seok-gu is currently meeting viewers in the role of Oh Seung-hoon, a Korean desk worker dispatched to the Philippines, in the Disney+ series 'Casino', and is currently filming the Netflix series 'Murderer and Difficult'.
Kim Dong-hwi, who debuted in the 2014 film 'The Councillor', emerged as an actor who is attracting attention as a leading actor in 'A Christmas Carol' following 'The Mathematician in Wonderland' last year. He is a rising star who swept the Best New Actor Award at the 43rd Blue Dragon Film Awards in 2022 and the Best New Actor Award at the 27th Chunsa International Film Festival through 'The Mathematician in Wonderland'. He played the lead role of Oh Yoo-yong in the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Missing: They Were There 2’.
