'Next Sohee' is an intense story about an incident that Sohee (played by Si-eun Kim), a confident 18-year-old high school student, experiences while going on field training, and Eugene (played by Doo-na Bae), a detective who investigates it, encounters it in the same space but at a different time. Last year, it was the first Korean film to be selected as the closing film of the Critics Week at the 75th Cannes International Film Festival.

In the play, Bae Doo-na plays the role of Oh Yu-jin, a detective who returns to work after a long absence. Oh Yu-jin is a character who retraces So-hee's footsteps.

On this day, Bae Doo-na said, "I hope people are a little less hurt now than when I was in my 20s and vaguely thought, 'I will become a good adult.' I hope things will be better than when we were. I will definitely participate in the children's stories. There is something in that direction. “I think if there’s a story that needs to be told, it should be said,” he said.

He continued, "It's not because of social criticism, but because children are weaker than us and don't know much, so I don't want to protect them a little more. I have a lot of thoughts and worries. Maybe I'm worrying more because I'm at an age where I don't have to worry about myself right now. It's a crazy thing. “It could be possible, but I’m not really worried. So I think I think about it a little more.”

Bae Doo-na said, "I am proud of myself. The fact that I have been able to endure here for over 20 years is also wonderful in itself. I want to praise you. I really like working as an actor. I still look so cool when I stand up and enter the set," making everyone laugh. He laughed, saying, "The actor's chair is cool, and I think it's cool that I'm working here. I'm proud. I'm honored."

He also said, "I'm thinking of working hard until I can do more. Being an actor is a good job. Even if I don't have to say it through my mouth, I can tell the social stories I want to say through movies and characters. Isn't it okay to hide on set and film and then come out? Bae Doo-na said about the title 'Next Sohee', "The title itself is bitter. 'Next Sohee' may have been a title made with the intention of not existing in reality, but I don't know what to say.
