Actress Kim Si-eun mentioned the shame and discomfort she felt while filming the movie 'Next Sohee'.

On the afternoon of the 2nd, Kim Si-eun told various stories about the upcoming movie 'Next Sohee' (directed by Jeong Ju-ri) at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

'Next Sohee' is an intense story about an incident that Sohee (played by Si-eun Kim), a confident 18-year-old high school student, experiences while going on field training, and Eugene (played by Doo-na Bae), a detective who investigates it, encounters it in the same space but at a different time. Last year, it was the first Korean film to be selected as the closing film of the Critics Week at the 75th Cannes International Film Festival.

In the play, Kim Si-eun played Kim So-hee. Kim So-hee is an ordinary high school student who is brave and sharp enough to say what she wants to say, but can also be bright and clumsy at times.

On this day, Kim Si-eun said, "The part where I think we received a lot of consideration was that they made a lot of effort to follow Sohee's flow on set. In the beginning, they first made it so that we could focus on Sohee's brightness and her tired or isolated appearance. So, that's why. “I was able to act a little faster and more comfortably,” he said.

He continued, "He structured the flow in an orderly manner so that emotional acting could be as comfortable as possible. In the scene where I was connected to a counselor at the call center, I did not wear a headset. At this time, an actor in another room did the voice acting. In such cases, the assistant director or someone else “There were many cases where people spoke for me using their voices,” he added.

Kim Si-eun said, "On the set of 'Next Sohee', the director was very considerate so that the actors could communicate directly with each other. So I was able to act a little more comfortably. I think it was a little easier because I was able to connect emotionally with Sohee." did.

He also talked about difficult scenes. Kim Si-eun said, "The scene in the play where a customer sexually harasses So-hee is a bit shameful, and I shouldn't express it like that, but I thought it was unpleasant and dirty. That's why I cried while filming that scene. So-hee cried a lot in the play. “I don’t. I only burst into tears in the second half. Even in situations where I could cry enough, I don’t shed tears,” he explained.

Kim Si-eun said, "I was crying, but the director said, 'You can't cry now.' Even when I was filming that scene, tears fell from my eyes, but the director said no, so I held them back. But I couldn't breathe. It was difficult at that time. "I didn't show it, but the director is a sensitive person. Even when I was acting, he looked at me," he said.

Kim Si-eun said, "The director doesn't talk too much. I tend to say everything I know to the director, but the director is not like that. A person like that came to me and said, 'Si-eun, you only need to be Sohee on set. Daily Life “He told me, ‘You don’t have to struggle.’ It helped me resolve a lot because someone I completely trusted told me the right answer.”

Meanwhile, 'Next Sohee' will be released on February 8th.
