Actors Kim Da-mi and Jeon So-ni became ‘soul mates.’

Kim Da-mi and Jeon So-ni worked together for the first time in the movie 'Soul Mate' (directed by Min Yong-geun), which will be released on March 15th. 'Soulmate' is the story of two friends, Miso (played by Kim Da-mi), Ha-eun (played by Jeon So-ni), and Jin-woo (played by Byeon Woo-seok), who recognized each other from their first meeting and shared everything together, including joy, sadness, excitement, and longing.

Director Min Yong-geun said, "It seems like everyone has that one person they can think of when they close their eyes. As you live your life and as time passes, there comes a moment when you realize, 'Oh, it was that person. And I was this kind of person.' That's the emotional power. “It was the biggest opportunity to create this work,” he said.

In the play, Miso, played by Da-mi Kim, wants to live freely as she wants, but loves Ha-eun to the point where she is always disarmed in front of her most precious friend, Ha-eun. Ha-eun, played by Jeon So-ni, is a deep friend who longs for the freedom of Miso, but also serves as a strong fence so that she can always come back.

Kim Da-mi and Jeon So-ni worked together for the first time in 'Soul Mate'. The chemistry between the two will shine in this work. Kim Da-mi said about Jeon So-ni, "I knew So-ni. I wanted to meet her, but I didn't know we would meet. I thought we could become this close, but we got along well. We had a lot of deep conversations with each other. She treated me with sincerity, so we watched this movie together. “I was so happy that I took the picture,” he said, expressing his affection.

Jeon So-ni also said about Kim Da-mi, "I was just excited because I had the opportunity to act (with Kim Da-mi). I was also greedy because we are 'soul mates.' We tried to get to know each other comfortably by not rushing and not slowing down, but at a comfortable pace. The whole process was happy. “I was grateful for receiving it so well. The moments we spent together were reassuring,” he responded.

'Soulmate' is a remake of the Chinese movie 'Hello, My Soulmate'. Da-mi Kim said of the original work, "It was a movie we all liked after watching the original work. The scenario was fun and good. Because the story is not completely the same, the three of us used what we had rather than borrowing or borrowing certain characters from the original work." "There are parts where I tried to express different emotions and Korean styles within the setting of Jeju Island. In fact, I think I had fun doing it. I did it without worrying about the original," he explained.

Director Min Yong-geun also said, “The framework of the original work and the framework of the characters were classic. I thought it was a story structure and characters that would remain over time.” He added, “There are parts where the emotional texture of the movie is different. The lyrical part was also strengthened. The material called painting is used as an important motif. “In some ways, those aspects are the biggest differences from the original,” he said.

Kim Da-mi and Jeon So-ni, who were happy together, plan to show their fresh youth through 'Soul Mate'. Da-mi Kim said, “I hope the scenery of Jeju Island becomes a film that evokes the emotions of youth of the past.” Jeon So-ni hoped, “I hope it becomes a movie that can be watched even after 10 years.” Attention is being paid to the chemistry between Kim Da-mi and Jeon So-ni, who made a youth film together with the scenery of Jeju Island in the background.
