‘Gladiator 2’ confirmed to be released in November 2024

According to Variety on the 4th (Korean time), Paramount Pictures officially announced that the sequel to director Ridley Scott's 'Gladiator' will be released on November 22, 2024.
According to reports, the sequel to 'Cladiator' has not yet been titled and will be produced by director Scott.
The original 'Gladiator', released in 2000, won Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Costume, Best Visual Effects, and Best Sound at the 73rd Academy Awards and is considered the best box office hit at the time.
Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix starred. It depicts the process of Maximus Decimus Meridius (Russell Crowe), a Roman soldier who was forcibly conscripted as a slave, to seek revenge on Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix).
Because Maximus dies at the end of the first film, the main character of the sequel is Lucius, the son of Maximus and his lover Lucilla (Connie Nielsen). Irish actor Paul Mescal, who was nominated for an Oscar for the movie 'Aftersun', is being considered for the role and is currently in talks to appear.
