Black 'The Little Mermaid' confirmed to be released in May

According to Walt Disney Company Korea on the 13th, 'The Little Mermaid' has confirmed its release in May. ‘The Little Mermaid’ is a modern reinterpretation of the animation of the same name, loved around the world, and a live-action adaptation.
In addition, a teaser poster and teaser trailer for ‘The Little Mermaid’ were released. The teaser poster stands out with a deep seascape that creates a mysterious atmosphere. Next, we get a glimpse of Ariel (played by Halle Bailey) sitting on a rock and looking up somewhere, stimulating curiosity about what kind of story will unfold in the play.
The teaser trailer features beautiful melodic music while also showing fantastic visuals of the deep underwater world that serves as the background for the story. In particular, Ariel appears swimming freely in the sea, with images of various marine creatures such as fish and turtles being reflected one after another, from underwater scenes with huge waves and a mysterious atmosphere.
A scene follows where Ariel sings 'Part of Your World', the representative song from 'The Little Mermaid', while longing for the human world. Here, the lyrics, 'I wish I could get out of this ocean and go to that world' not only raise curiosity about the new world that Ariel dreams of, but also add curiosity about the scenes and stories that will be vividly unfolded in live action.
'The Little Mermaid' stars Halle Bailey, Melissa McCarthy, Jonah Hauer-King, Javier Bardem, and Awkwafina, and is directed by Rob Marshall, who directed 'Chicago' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides'.
