Seongmin Lee “I always look forward to synergy and ensemble together with Jinwoong Cho”
On the afternoon of the 20th, a press screening for the movie 'Confidential' (directed by Lee Won-tae) was held at Megabox COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Director Won-tae Lee and actors Jin-woong Cho, Seong-min Lee, and Moo-yeol Kim attended the press conference held after the preview.
'Confidential' is set in Busan in 1992, and a fierce struggle between Hae-woong (played by Cho Jin-woong), a candidate for a member of the National Assembly, Sun-tae (played by Seong-min Lee), a hidden figure in politics, and Pil-do (played by Mu-yeol Kim), an activist gangster, to get hold of a secret document that will shake up the Republic of Korea and turn the tables. It is a crime drama that unfolds.
In the play, Lee Sung-min played the role of Sun-tae. Suntae is a powerful figure with hidden power who controls the Busan political scene in the 1992s.
On this day, Lee Seong-min said about his feelings about working with Cho Jin-woong, "I said he was clear, but Jin-woong is an actor who expands on clarity. While watching the movie, I thought, 'He's good at it,' and 'He's so good at that.' “So I was very jealous,” he said.
He continued, "I watched the movie with the thought, 'I have to do what I can.' As I always say, I'm both excited and nervous (to act with Cho Jin-woong). I'm always looking forward to the synergy and ensemble that comes from acting with this guy. Next “If I get the chance, I “I don’t know, but I would like to try it again,” he added, making everyone laugh.
Lee Seong-min said, "We are not the type to discuss things. We do not do our best during rehearsals. When a shot is taken, emotions volatilize or oxidize and become blurred. When a shot is taken, the look we exchange ( with Jo Jin-woong) and the energy we give are what I do. “I feel things changing. At that point, I change without even realizing it,” he said, expressing satisfaction.
He also said, “It could be a good part, or it could be a bad couple, but the reason I prefer (acting with Cho Jin-woong) is that I am influenced by that point. I clearly know when to step back. He is an actor I respect and respect. When I always work, “We do our best for each other,” he said, expressing his affection.
Meanwhile, 'Confidential' will be released on March 1.
