MOVIE
8 miraculous days with ‘Hangbly’ Jang Hang-jun

According to distributor Barunson E&A Co., Ltd. on the 28th, 'Rebound' is directed by director Jang Hang-jun, and writers Kwon Seong-hwi and Kim Eun-hee work together. The three people portrayed the touching true story of young people who achieved miracles with their passion for basketball with the cheerful laughter and warm empathy of icons of positivity.
'Rebound' is a miraculous story of eight days in which the new coach and six players of the weakest basketball team that no one paid attention to ran tirelessly during the 2012 National High School Basketball Tournament.
'Rebound' is a work that the production team of 'Crime City' has been preparing to make into a movie for over 10 years after being fascinated by the miraculous story of Busan Jungang High School in the 2012 Korea Basketball Association Long-term National Middle and High School Basketball Tournament. Director Jang Hang-jun, who first received an offer to direct about five years ago, did not hesitate to transfer that passionate and touching record to the screen.
From actor casting to art, makeup, and filming, the work was filled with the power of a true story through a detailed directing process to enhance realism. It is the special writing team that gave strength to director Jang Hang-jun's passion that is as strong as that of his players. Writer Kwon Seong-hwi, who has proven his dense and chewy writing skills through the movie 'Duke' and the Netflix series 'Suriname', took charge of the screenplay and reborn it into a story that touches the heart.
Director Jang Hang-jun said, “The scenario was very bold and powerful,” and expressed great satisfaction with the vivid and exciting story that writer Kwon Seong-hwi drew from a true story. Here, writer Kim Eun-hee, who has written a number of hit works such as the Netflix series 'Kingdom' and the dramas 'Signal', 'Ghost', and 'Sign' that enthralled the world, has hit a brilliant point.
Writer Kim Eun-hee, who agreed to preserve the reality of the play, adapted the scenario with the goal of "making the images and situations as realistic as possible, closer to the true story" (director Jang Hang-jun), solidifying the work's completeness. Ahn Jae-hong, who played the new coach Kang Yang-hyeon, said, "The director leads the scene cheerfully, but is also very sharp when filming begins. So he told me what important emotions and moments were, and it was a time where we could visit together. I was very happy and I learned a lot about myself. “It was a scene,” he said.
Meanwhile, 'Rebound' will be released in April.
