Jeon So-ni praised Song Hye-kyo for her acting, "Kim Dami, my biggest partner"

Actress Jeon So-ni met her true soulmate named Kim Da-mi through the movie 'Soulmate'.

'Soul Mate' (directed by Min Yong-geun) is about two friends, Miso (played by Kim Da-mi), Ha-eun (played by Jeon So-ni), and Jin-woo (played by Byeon Woo-seok), who recognized each other from their first meeting and share everything together, including joy, sadness, excitement, and longing. It's a story. In the play, Jeon So-ni played Ha-eun. Ha-eun, behind her calm and neat appearance, is a person with a stronger heart than anyone else. She is a deep friend who longs for the freedom of a smile, but also serves as a strong fence so that she can always come back.

A VIP preview of ‘Soulmate’ was held recently. Song Hye-kyo attended the VIP screening to support Kim Da-mi, who is a member of the same agency as Jeon So-ni, with whom she co-starred in the drama 'Boyfriend.' He showed his support by posting a photo of the preview site on social media. Jeon So-ni laughed, saying, "(Song Hye-kyo) told me that she really liked it because it left a lasting impression on me. I'm embarrassed to say it with my own mouth, but she praised me a lot and said that my acting was good. She also said that she was grateful and that it was good."

Jeon So-ni said, "I'm really grateful that the movie was able to be released. I think a movie doesn't end when the movie is completed, but it also ends when the audience accepts the movie. It's special and nice to be able to show it to the audience and greet them at the theater. “I don’t know how difficult it is these days,” he said.

He continued, "I didn't worry too much about the finished product. The special scene was one where I could feel that we were all working together, including director Min Yong-geun and the staff. I didn't feel like I had any idea what was going to come out until it was completed. I had no expectations. “It was a work I had been waiting for. Even after watching the movie, I may feel regretful as someone who made it, but it is a work I have no regrets about,” he said, expressing his affection for it.

Jeon So-ni mentioned her collaboration with Kim Da-mi. He said, "(Kim Dami's) first impression and my current impression haven't changed. Even though she's really younger than me, there's something about her that closes her off. Dami has a stable side and doesn't just go up and down. No matter what I say, she listens with an open mind and concentration. “He’s a friend I feel good about,” he said.

The reason we were able to become friends faster was that we got along well because we both don't have sociable personalities, and we weren't in a hurry to become friends. We knew that very well. Dami said that she cried during the day when she was drawing that picture, even though it wasn't a scene where she cried. They connected while filming the movie. “It felt amazing,” he said.

'Soulmate' is a remake of the Chinese movie 'Hello, My Soulmate'. Jeon So-ni said, "As an audience member, I always wanted to see a movie like this. When I read the script, I liked Ha-eun from the beginning. I was grateful that they gave me the character of Ha-eun. When I had no relationship with director Min Yong-geun, I asked the company to see if I could audition. "After that, I had three or four coincidental encounters with the director. I ended up interpreting it in a magnified way and thought, 'Is it fate?'" he said.

Jeon So-ni said, "9-10 months after meeting and talking with director Min Yong-geun, I was curious about who would do 'Soul Mate' and how it would be done, but I did not expect that my relationship with the director would continue in this way. I received the script. “I was both happy and overwhelmed. I was waiting for a movie that would allow me to look into the heart of a character,” he said.

Not only that, "I'm cautious about talking about it because it seems like a leap, but I think the teenage years are the time when you can be the most flexible. The friends you make during that time are bound to remain. People who don't have a lot of life experience can handle even small things. "I like stories that are deeply shaken and influenced. Movies with a lot to see are good, but I wanted to watch a movie that would allow me to reflect on the past time on my way home after it was over," he said.

Finally, Jeon So-ni said, "We talked a lot about relationships. I thought that we were trying to associate relationships with certain words more than we thought. I thought a lot while watching this scenario. Then, we ended up talking about friendship or love, and no word could be used. It seems that there are things in life that are not defined. It seems that friendship is love and love is friendship. At the very least, it seems that love and friendship exist at the same time in family.
