Japanese animation hits Korean theaters, 'Suzume' 1st place, 'Slam Dunk' 3rd place
‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor of Thieves’ started in second place.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network on the 30th, 'Suzume's Lockdown' (directed by Makoto Shinkai), which is ranked first, attracted 83,161 viewers on the 29th and ranked first in the box office. The cumulative number of viewers was 3,157,675.
'Dungeons & Dragons: Honor of Thieves' (directed by Jonathan Goldstein), which came in second place, attracted 37,245 viewers on its first day of release. 'Dungeons & Dragons: Honor of Thieves' is a role-playing action-adventure movie that depicts a delightful adventure in which Edgin and his teammates, who have different reasons but come together with one goal, struggle while demonstrating their special abilities.
‘The First Slam Dunk’ (directed by Takehiko Inoue) maintained third place with 17,866 viewers. The cumulative number of viewers was 4,312,359. 'Woongnam' (Director Park Seong-gwang) ranked 4th with 13,308 viewers, bringing the cumulative number of viewers to 211,571.
