Taylor Russell and Cameron Britton have been cast in director Na Hong-jin's new film 'HOPE' (working title).

According to PlusM Entertainment, which is in charge of investing/distributing 'HOPE' on the 5th, Taylor Russell and Cameron Britton will be working with director Na Hong-jin. 'HOPE' is the story of residents confronting a mysterious attack that began in the isolated port town of Hopo Port. After an unknown entity is spotted on the outskirts of the village, it will depict the struggle of the residents as they search for its true identity and face the threat of their village being destroyed.

Previously, Hwang Jung-min, Jo In-sung, Jung Ho-yeon, Alicia Vikander, and Michael Fassbender joined 'HOPE', while Taylor Russell and Cameron Britton were additionally cast. Director Na Hong-jin said, "I felt sorrow in Taylor Russell's beautiful yet deep eyes. It is perfect for expressing the emotions of a character going through adversity." He added, "I expect that it will play a role in richly showing not only the character but also the situations and emotions of the people around him. “I do,” he said.

He also praised Cameron Britton as "an actor who embraces various layers as one," and added, "He plans to capture the mystery hidden in the movie within the character he plays. I think Cameron's subtle acting will beautifully express the character's characteristics." added.

Taylor Russell made her name known through director Edward Schultz's 'Waves' and the drama 'Lost in Space'. He won the Best New Actor Award at the 79th Venice International Film Festival for his portrayal of Marron, a love-starved girl, in director Luca Guadagnino's 'Bones and All', delicately expressing her concerns about identity and complex psychology. In addition, he was nominated for the American Independent Film Award and the Independent Spirit Award, and was recognized as a promising actor with outstanding acting skills.

Cameron Britton appeared as Ed Kemper, a rare serial killer, in the Netflix series 'Mindhunter' and was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his creepy psychopath performance. He is continuing to be active, including appearing in the Netflix series 'The Umbrella Academy' and the recent film 'A Man Called Otto' directed by Marc Forster.
