Lee Seon-kyun "Contacted Bong Joon-ho directly after seeing his exaggerated muscles"
Interview with Lee Sun-kyun as Jonathan Na in the movie 'Killing Romance'

On the morning of the 12th, Lee Sun-gyun told various stories about the upcoming movie 'Killing Romance' (directed by Lee Won-seok) at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
'Killing Romance' is about top star Yeorae (played by Lee Ha-nui), who suddenly announces her retirement after falling in love with island tycoon Jonathan (played by Lee Seon-gyun), and meets Beom-woo (played by Gong Myeong) ), a student from the 3rd fan club, and plots an extraordinary comeback plan. It's a story.
In the play, Lee Sun-kyun plays Jonathan Na. Jonathan Na is an icon of madness and obsession who falls in love with Tathagata after a fateful meeting on Kuala Island.

Previously, the teaser poster for 'Killing Romance' was released and attracted attention. The poster was also posted on social media and online communities, and netizens also responded that they were looking forward to it.
On this day, Lee Seon-kyun said, "People around me said they were curious about the movie after seeing this poster. There are a lot of people around me who like director Lee Won-seok's colors, and they knew it was unique, so they said they had high expectations." Director Bong Joon-ho captured the poster and contacted me. “He said, ‘I’m curious about this combination,’ and ‘I’ll see it in the theater,’” he added.
Lee Seon-kyun made people laugh by saying, "Rather than feeling the pressure of having to be funny, I wanted 'JOHN NA' to be in the title of the movie. The original title of the movie was 'Killing Romance'. I thought it would be funnier if the title was 'JOHN NA Killing Romance'." .
Lee Seon-gyun said, "I enjoyed reading the 'Killing Romance' scenario. I was curious about how they would film it. I met with director Won-seok Lee and the production crew, but in fact, there was a lot of negative feedback. For me to play Jonathan, I felt that someone with a normal character would have a twist. “I felt it,” he said.

Lee Seon-gyun, who chose 'Killing Romance' without much hesitation, said, "Honestly, it was fun. Coming in with scenarios hasn't changed since 'Parasite'. I had a good experience with 'Parasite' because I just had to think about what I had done so far and make a choice. "It wasn't a big problem. It was a time when I was playing realistic but heavy characters, so I wanted to try a different variation," he explained the reason for his choice.
Also, "(Lee) Hani, whom I met in the US, spoke positively about appearing on the show. When I met Hani, I received confirmation saying, 'Are you really going to do it?' I guess Hani is receiving good energy. Among Korean actors, she is the one who gave it her all. “I think I drew it,” he said, expressing his affection.
Lee Seon-gyun said, "Of all the actresses, Ha-nui gives her all in such a variety of roles. That's why I thought the scene would be fun. I talked a lot about references with director Lee Won-seok. The director “There was no authority and there was nothing inconvenient, so we communicated a lot. “That’s how Jonathan came out.”
Meanwhile, 'Killing Romance' starring Lee Sun-kyun will be released on the 14th.
