Will Park Seo-joon and IU's 'Dream' end on the 3rd?
Will the world come to an end on the 3rd day of ‘Dream’? ‘Super Mario Bros.’ rose to first place.

According to the Korea Film Council's integrated computer network on the 30th, 'Super Mario Brothers' mobilized 289,857 people on the 29th, recording a cumulative audience of 514,676. 'Super Mario Bros.' depicts the adventure of Mario, an ordinary plumber in New York, who levels up to 'Super Mario' and rescues his younger brother Luigi, who has been kidnapped by the villain Koopa from another world.

‘Dream’ was pushed to second place. On the same day, 164,601 people visited, bringing the cumulative number of viewers to 400,014. This movie is the story of Hong Dae (played by Park Seo-joon), a clueless former soccer player, and So-min (played by IU), a passionate producer, who together with a ragtag group of homeless national team players attempt an impossible dream.

'Dream', which was released on the 26th, maintained the pride of Korean cinema by settling in first place in the daily box office, which had been lost to foreign films for 50 days. However, it fell to second place in just three days. The advance reservation rate is also falling behind the likes of ‘Super Mario Bros.’ and the soon-to-be-released ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ and the possibility of a rebound is not high.

In third place, 'John Wick 4' attracted 91,411 people, recording a cumulative viewership of 1,512,660. 'Suzume's Door Break' succeeded in exceeding 5 million, recording the highest performance among Japanese films released domestically.
