The police, angry at Yoo Ah-in, pull out a knife for an arrest warrant.

At a regular press conference held on the 15th, Woo Jong-soo, head of the National Investigation Headquarters of the National Police Agency, said regarding the investigation schedule for Yoo Ah-in's drug charges, "The summons and investigation will be coordinated as soon as possible."
When asked about the date, Director Woo declined to comment, adding, "The suspect is being sensitive to the date and timing of the summons." Next, in response to the question, "If Mr. Yoo continues to refuse the investigation, will you consider applying for an arrest or detention warrant?" Director Woo said, "We will coordinate the appearance date and investigate as quickly as possible, but if that is not possible, of course we will do so." He mentioned the possibility of applying for an arrest and arrest warrant.
Yoo Ah-in, who said that he would 'faithfully participate in the police investigation', has been giving the police a hard time during the summons and investigation process, insisting on 'rules regarding public information on police investigation cases, etc.' and insisting that he will not be investigated unless it is confidential. In particular, in the second summons investigation scheduled to be held on the 11th, they refused the investigation and made a U-turn on the grounds that the investigation date was made public. Previously, the first summons investigation had also been requested to be postponed once.
In relation to this, Yoo Ah-in's lawyer said that although the police promised to conduct a private investigation, Yoo Ah-in's attendance schedule was made public by the police. "Even if the schedule has already been made public, it cannot be helped, but in line with the principle of private summons, access through other routes is possible. "We requested that action be taken, but the police did not accept it. The summons for Yoo Ah-in was effectively a public summons, so we inevitably requested the police to discuss changing the date of attendance," he claimed.
Since then, the police and Yoo Ah-in's side are in the process of coordinating the summons investigation. However, the police and Yoo Ah-in's side continue to insist on a closed investigation, and it is said that the police, who are experiencing difficulties in the investigation in the process, are in an unprecedented confrontation.
The legal community is also calling Yoo Ah-in's action of not being investigated unless it is confidential, calling it 'unreasonable'. A lawyer told Ten Asia, "If you fail to comply with the police's summons three or more times, it becomes grounds for an arrest warrant to be issued." He added, "It appears that the unilateral refusal to comply with this summons may have increased the number of reasons for requesting an arrest warrant (even at the prosecutor's investigation stage). He said, “I will lose.”
Attention is being paid to whether the police will pull out the powerful sword of an 'arrest warrant' against Yoo Ah-in, who is uncooperative with the investigation and has committed an unprecedented incident called 'U-turn no-show'.
Police believe that Yoo Ah-in took a total of five types of drugs. Last February, the police received an analysis result from the National Institute of Forensic Science that found four types of narcotic substances, including marijuana, propofol, cocaine, and ketamine, in Yoo Ah-in's hair and urine. Afterwards, Zolpidem, a psychotropic drug, was found in Yoo Ah-in's medical records. We have been investigating circumstances in which prescriptions were prescribed for purposes other than medical purposes.
