‘John Wick 4’, series total global box office hit exceeds KRW 1 trillion
According to Box Office Mojo on the 16th, the 'John Wick' series surpassed $1 billion in worldwide box office sales thanks to the explosive worldwide box office success of 'John Wick 4'. So far, the 'John Wick' series has recorded $86,081,850 (about KRW 115 billion) for 'John Wick', $174,348,632 (about KRW 233 billion) for 'John Wick - Reload', and 'John Wick 3: Paravel'. 'Room' achieved $328,349,387 (about KRW 438.9 billion), for a total of $588,779,869 (about KRW 786.8 billion).
'John Wick 4' showed a whopping 5 times the worldwide box office sales of the first film, easily exceeding 1 billion dollars with box office sales of 419,769,198 dollars (about KRW 561 billion). The box office success in Korea is even more surprising. As of May 14, 'John Wick 4' has surpassed 1,888,931 viewers, showing an unprecedented record of box office success, which is nearly 15 times that of the first film.
Accordingly, whether 'John Wick 5' will be produced has been a hot topic every day since the release of 'John Wick 4'. Director Chad Stahelski revealed that he has not decided whether to proceed or not. Series fans are cheering on the production team with the hope that 'John Wick 5' will also come back just as 'John Wick 4' started from a memo idea written while sitting in a bar with Keanu Reeves.
