Kim Hee-won, Victim of Cannes Film Festival's Absurd Mistake

On the 22nd (local time), 'Escape: PROJECT SILENCE', which was officially invited to the Midnight Screening section at the Lumiere Grand Theater in Cannes, France, was unveiled for the first time. The official screening was attended by director Kim Yong-hwa, who was in charge of production, and director Kim Tae-gon, who was in charge of directing, and actors Lee Sun-kyun, Ju Ji-hoon, and Kim Hee-won.
But something happened that raised eyebrows. The photo posted on the photo call and red carpet schedule provided to photo reporters in advance was not Kim Hee-won's face. I put a picture of a woman other than Kim Hee-won.
This is not the first time that the Cannes Film Festival has made such an embarrassing mistake. Jang Hye-jin, who appeared in director Bong Joon-ho's 'Parasite' in 2019, was inserted as archer Hye-jin Jang, and last year, IU, who appeared in director Hirokazu Kore-eda's 'Broker', was inserted as a different person.
'Escape: PROJECT SILENCE', starring Kim Hee-won, is a story about people stranded on the Gonghang Bridge on the verge of collapsing in an indistinguishable thick fog struggling to survive the unexpected threat lurking within it. After being first unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival, it is scheduled to meet domestic audiences this year.
