How many stars is 'Noble Man'? = ★★★★☆

A scion with a clean style, a white face, and a fishy smile topped with humor that comes from strong self-confidence. The scion, who always kindly answers 'friend' to the question of who he is, is a 'pro' who has never missed a target. He kills people peacefully with a smile on his face, but becomes very annoyed and agitated when his limited edition luxury shoes are stained with blood.

The scion watches Marco (Kang Tae-joo), a compound word meaning mixed Korean and Filipino, who takes care of his ailing mother by going back and forth between illegal boxing matches. Marco, who is looking for his Korean father for his mother's operation, is approached by cold-blooded conglomerate Yi-sa Han (Kim Kang-woo) and a mysterious woman Yoon-ju (Go A-ra), each with their own goals and orders. And a breathless chase unfolds.

'The Scion' (director Park Hoon-jung) portrays the characters of the early characters in a clear and attractive way. Narratives to lead the story are piled up and rice cakes are thrown. Through this, the questions given to the audience are sincerely collected after the middle and neatly dropped. Director Park Hoon-jung brilliantly unfolded his main specialty, 'action', in the film. The unique humor code that director Park is aiming for is mainly in the lines of the scion, and the batting average is quite high. Even though the breathtaking pursuit and action make your hands sweat, the lines of the scion burst into a pleasant laugh, and the pace control in the work is excellent.

The special feature of the movie is the realistic and intense action such as car chasing, wire, and shooting. There is no time to get bored with various types of action. The thrilling wire action of throwing oneself from an overpass in cool speed and drift, as well as gunshots piercing one's ears provide cinematic pleasure.

In particular, the action scenes in the second half are definitely the highlight of this movie. Kim Seon-ho, who plays the scion, catches the eyes and ears by pouring out all the action, from fist fights to knife cutting and shooting. It feels like a god was created by Kim Seon-ho, by Kim Seon-ho, and for Kim Seon-ho. Kim Seon-ho's acting transformation, which showed an unfamiliar face throughout the movie, peaks through this action.

The actors' performances are excellent. Kim Seon-ho succeeded in transforming by completely changing his face through his screen debut film 'The Scion'. Kim Seon-ho, who was loved by the public for his good and pleasant image, strangely fits well with the profanity he spits out with a kind face. It's nice to see Kim Seon-ho's unfamiliar face that I haven't seen before. In particular, you can get a glimpse of how sincere and desperate this work was for him in the action acting that unfolded without hesitation.

Kang Tae-joo in the role of Marco showed a realistic and unconventional performance that could be considered a real Kopino. It would not have been easy to digest the narrative of running away without knowing why, but he enhanced his persuasive power with his own potential. In the 1980s, he broke through the 1-to-1 competition and proved his ability to be cast.

Kim Kang-woo, who was confident that he liked the character Han Yi-sa the most among his filmography, shows off his immersion to match. He is in charge of another axis of this film with unstoppable momentum that does not hesitate at all towards the goal. It gives a feeling of being upgraded from the villainous role of Kim Kang-woo, which we know, and exudes a sense of presence. Go A-ra, who plays Yoon-ju, also gives a fresh feeling with a new image. As an actor, you can see traces of his efforts to expand his spectrum.

Opening June 21st. Teenagers not allowed. Running time 118 minutes.
