Kim Kang-woo said , "I didn't pay much attention" to the issue of fellow actor Kim Seon-ho's private life when he was cast in 'The Scion'. In addition to this 'Scion', actress Seo Ye-ji, who worked together in the movie 'Memory of Tomorrow' (director Yu-min Seo), which was released in April 2021, was controversial about her private life. Regarding these issues, Kim Kang-woo seemed aloof. Kim Kang-woo, who made his debut in the 2002 movie 'Coastline', attracted attention by mentioning his life's attitude that he does not have to worry about heyday, as he is already walking the path of an actor for 22 years this year.

"I acted while going through all sorts of things. (Kim) Seon-ho didn't pay much attention to the actor's work, and since casting is the responsibility of the director and the director, I thought that actors should only care about their own characters in it. Kim Kang-woo worked with directors Kim Seon-ho and Park Hoon-jung on two works in succession, from 'Scion' to 'Tyrant' (director Park Hoon-jung). 'Tyrant' also finished filming last April. In this regard, Kim Kang-woo expressed satisfaction.

"It's good. It's fun to work with an actor like Kim Seon-ho in a row. We had confrontations in 'The Scion', but in 'Tyrant' we're in a different way. Working together in 'Scion' helped a lot. Like this, the same director, the same director. I don’t think the experience of working on two projects in a row with an actor is something that can be done easily.”
