"Can I do this again?"... 'Smuggling' Kim Hye-soo transforms into the most rude Jo Choon-ja of all time

In the movie 'Smuggling' (directed by Ryoo Seung-wan), Kim Hye-soo transformed into Jo Chun-ja, who jumped into a smuggling ring dreaming of success. Jo Choon-ja, portrayed by Kim Hye-soo, is a person who starts working as a housekeeper at the age of 14, earns money, and does whatever it takes to protect herself.
In the released character stills, you can see Kim Hye-soo's unified performance as if guiding the audience to the 1970s, along with the appearance of showing an unconventional contrast as if she were a completely different person.
Kim Hye-soo, who has shown challenging acting not limited to eras and genres such as drama, action, thriller, and comedy, will lead the play by digesting Jo Choon-ja with raw acting that has not been seen before. Director Ryoo Seung-wan, who said that he only remembered Kim Hye-soo by casting Jo Chun-ja from the planning stage of 'Smuggling', also adds to the anticipation by saying, "I wanted to create a character that captures all the charms of actress Kim Hye-soo." At the production briefing held on the 20th, Kim Hye-soo said, "Jo Chun-ja is a cinematic character, but it was the most rude role I've ever played." said to raise expectations.

'Smuggling' will be released on July 26th.
