Actors Gong Min-jung and Woo Ji-hyun were selected as the moderators of the opening ceremony of the 25th Jeongdongjin Film Festival.

The 25th Jeongdongjin Film Festival, which will be held for three days from August 4 to 6 at the playground of Jeongdong Elementary School in Gangdong-myeon, Gangneung-si, is an independent film festival in the middle of summer, 'the sky where the stars fall, the sea where movies rise', and a cine vacation that all generations can enjoy.

Actress Gong Min-jeong hosted the first opening ceremony of the Jeongdongjin Film Festival. Gong Min-jung is an independent film star actor who boasts a large number of filmography, and has appeared in commercial films such as 'Kim Ji-young, Born in 1982' and 'Romance Without Dating'. After that, he started to make his name known to the public through the TV dramas 'Seaside Town Cha Cha Cha' and 'Little Women'. Last year, she was recognized for her acting skills by winning the Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries Comedy/Romance category at the SBS Drama Awards for the drama 'A Lawyer for 1,000 Won'.

Actor Woo Ji-hyun is an actor who has been filling various faces in the Korean independent film industry with stable acting skills. He appeared in the films 'Swallow', 'Everyone's Lover', 'Dustman', 'Winter Night', and 'Chuncheon, Chuncheon'. Then, he appeared in the dramas 'Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 3', 'The Empire: Empire of Law', 'Anna', and 'Now Our School', showing off his charm. With the end of the corona pandemic, additional events will be fully held this year. This year's opening performance will be performed by 'Kingston Rudiska', a pioneer of ska music in Korea and given an honorable name tag of '19 years of Korean ska'. An unrivaled ska band that makes its name every year at domestic and international music festivals such as the Jarasum Jazz Festival, Seoul Jazz Festival, Pentaport Rock Festival, Jisan Rock Festival, and GMF, as well as large and small domestic and international music festivals such as the Philippines, Singapore, China, Japan, and the United Kingdom. all.

Korean independent films produced from the second half of last year to the first half of this year will be selected through open recruitment, and 22 short and feature films will be screened. The 25th Jeongdongjin Independent Film Festival will be held at Jeongdong Elementary School in Gangneung for three days from August 4th (Fri) to 6th (Sun), hosted by Gangneung Cinematheque.
