Actor Kim Hak-rae Admits to Past Infidelity and Gambling on YouTube Show
On the YouTube channel 'Song Seung-hwan's Wonderful Life' aired on the 5th, comedian Kim Hak-rae candidly shared his past of writing 119 written promises over 34 years of marriage.
During the show, Song Seung-hwan cautiously brought up past controversies. When asked if the infidelity and gambling issues revealed by his wife, Im Mi-sook, on various broadcasts were true, Kim Hak-rae acknowledged, "It's a story from decades ago, but it's not incorrect." He added, "I caused a lot of trouble and wasted a lot of money," recalling those times.
The problem arose afterward. He said, "When everyone disperses, it's supposed to end, but those things always get caught." He shared a humorous anecdote about making the situation worse with excuses. "I once made a deceased person die twice. I claimed to be at a funeral in Yongin, but my wife confronted me with a receipt from Suwon," he revealed, eliciting laughter.
The reason the receipt was discovered was also ironic. Kim Hak-rae explained, "I tried to dispose of the evidence by throwing it out the window, but the wind blew it back inside, landing under a chair where my wife found it." He jokingly added, "We need to eliminate the receipt-giving system." He confessed to writing about 110 written promises due to repeated mistakes.
He reflected, "When you play poker, a person's true character comes out. Back then, I didn't know that and just got absorbed in it."
Meanwhile, comedian Kim Hak-rae married fellow comedian Im Mi-sook in May 1990, and they have a son, Kim Dong-young.
