Actor Koo Sung-hwan's Transformation: A Journey of Weight Loss and Personal Growth
On the 4th, a photoshoot featuring Koo Sung-hwan was released, showcasing him in a cinematic atmosphere reminiscent of a movie poster.
During the shoot, Koo expressed, "Unlike acting, where you can move, expressing everything while staying still is challenging but enjoyable," accompanied by his warm smile.
Describing himself with the word 'romantic,' he added, "I believe it's important to enjoy each day to the fullest." The early loss of his mother taught him the value of 'today' and instilled in him a new philosophy and approach to life.
Koo previously shared, "My mother passed away from terminal stomach cancer when I was in second grade. It was a shock to face such an early farewell, and she spent four years in the hospital. Seeing her always with tubes, I wondered why she was in the hospital while others were enjoying life. Even at a young age, I realized that people could disappear tomorrow. Watching my mother was a profound shock."
Despite the intense attention from his recent appearance on the variety show 'I Live Alone,' Koo strives to maintain his focus as an actor. "I want to clearly distinguish between variety shows and acting. If I'm seen too much as a variety show personality, it might inconvenience my colleagues in our projects," he stated.
A memorable encouragement from actor Song Kang-ho, "I knew you would become a great actor," remains with him. Recalling their connection from 'Uncle Samsik,' Koo looks forward to working together again in the future.
Koo's ultimate goal is not grand achievements but 'living more enjoyably.' He shared, "Happiness isn't as grand as one might think. A delicious dinner after work, a comfortable home to sleep in—these everyday things are happiness. Many ask about happiness, but I hope people don't overthink it and find joy in small things, appreciating the little moments."
