Husband of Late Actress Kim Soo-mi Passes Away at 80

The husband of the late actress Kim Soo-mi, Jung Chang-kyu, has passed away.

According to family members, Jung Chang-kyu died from complications related to diabetes on the afternoon of the 4th. He was 80 years old. This comes 1 year and 7 months after the passing of his wife, Kim Soo-mi, in October 2024.

Jung married Kim Soo-mi in 1974, and the couple had one son and one daughter. Kim Soo-mi had previously shared on various entertainment programs that she met her husband through singer Jung Hoon-hee.

Their son, Jung Myung-ho, is the CEO of Napalkkot F&B and is married to actress Seo Hyo-rim, who co-starred with Kim Soo-mi in a drama.

The funeral will be held at Room 9 of Hanyang University Hospital Funeral Hall. The service is scheduled for 9:40 AM on the 6th, with the burial at Suwon City Crematorium.
