Shinji, a member of the co-ed group Koyote, and singer Moon Won are set to marry after overcoming numerous challenges.

The couple will hold a private wedding ceremony on the 2nd at Raum Art Center in Gangnam, Seoul, attended only by family and close friends. Comedian Moon Se-yoon will host the event, and singer Baek Ji-young, a close friend of Shinji, will perform to celebrate their new beginning.

Shinji and Moon Won first met in 2024 on MBC Standard FM's 'Lee Yoon-seok and Shinji's Happy Show' as a DJ and guest, respectively, and their relationship blossomed into romance. Their wedding plans became public last June when their wedding photos were revealed, and Shinji announced the start of her new chapter in life via social media.

However, the wedding preparations were not without hurdles. Public opinion turned cold when Moon Won's previous marriage and children were disclosed, and his behavior and attire during a family meeting sparked further controversy. Additionally, rumors about his school days, military service, and personal life fueled public opposition.

In response, Shinji's side clarified that "the allegations are not true," and Moon Won personally stated, "The claims about bullying during my school and military days are completely false," addressing the rumors.

Recently, on KBS 2TV's 'New Release, Pyeonstorang,' Shinji revealed, "After the controversy, all my work, including performance gigs, stopped." Moon Won added, "I looked for work I could do, including at a logistics center and cleaning stairs. I couldn't just sit idle; I wanted to contribute," sharing his efforts to support their livelihood.

Shinji expressed unwavering trust, saying, "What we have now is enough. It's not just about what others see. Those close to us feel it. I'm very proud, respectful, and grateful. It's all in the past now. We endured well."

Upon announcing their marriage, she shared, "Living together has strengthened our bond and trust, and I'm grateful to have a true partner. We are more solid than ever." She added, "We plan to hold our wedding in May. We are aware of the concerns and well-wishes from many and will continue to move forward step by step."

The couple is already living together and has shared glimpses of their daily life on shows like 'New Release, Pyeonstorang.' They plan to reveal their wedding preparations on MBN's 'Precious Family of Others.'
