Actors Moon Ji-in and Comedian Kim Ki-ri Reveal Gender of Their Baby

Actors Moon Ji-in and comedian Kim Ki-ri have revealed the gender of their baby.

On November 1, the YouTube channel 'Ji-in's Friends' posted a video titled 'Kneeling During Gender Reveal. Kim Ki-ri♡Moon Ji-in = Daughter's Fool or Son's Genius?'.

In the video, Moon Ji-in and her husband Kim Ki-ri were seen heading to Nagoya, Japan for a drama shoot. At the airport, they received the results of a prenatal test, including the baby's gender. Moon Ji-in first expressed relief by saying, "The baby is healthy," but delayed revealing the gender.

Kim Ki-ri sighed with relief, saying, "As long as the baby is healthy." However, when Moon Ji-in kept the gender a secret, he asked, "Why won't you tell me?" Moon Ji-in replied with a smile, "I'll reveal it during the gender reveal."

When asked about his preferred gender for their child, Kim Ki-ri said, "I already know it's a boy. The way you eat meat and all," but added, "I'd be so happy if it's a girl," unable to hide his smile.

Kim Ki-ri humorously stated, "If it's a girl, I'll raise her strictly like a boy, and if it's a boy, I'll raise him lovingly like a girl," adding, "I hope the girl becomes a 'Teto Girl' and the boy an 'Egen Boy,'" causing laughter.

During a parenting simulation, Kim Ki-ri showed a strict demeanor towards a hypothetical son and an endlessly affectionate one towards a daughter, highlighting his 'daughter's fool' side. Moon Ji-in commented, "What if we have a son? I feel sorry for him," expressing concern.

Moon Ji-in conducted a surprise gender reveal at a baby store in Japan. She said, "If I pick a pink bib, it's a girl; if I pick a blue one, it's a boy," creating an impromptu event. Caught off guard, Kim Ki-ri knelt in the middle of the store, saying, "I'm not prepared for this," adding tension to the moment.

At the decisive moment, Moon Ji-in first picked up a pink bib. Kim Ki-ri laughed brightly, asking, "Really?" but it was short-lived. Moon Ji-in returned the pink bib and pointed to a blue bib in the shopping cart, revealing the actual result.

Upon confirming it's a 'boy,' Kim Ki-ri paused momentarily, then laughed, saying, "Right?" He admitted, "Seeing the pink made me react unconsciously," and quickly clarified, "I'm not disappointed. I love having a son," bringing laughter to the scene.

Moon Ji-in shared the joyous news, saying, "A precious prince has come to us," and Kim Ki-ri couldn't hide his excitement, expressing his anticipation as a soon-to-be father.

Meanwhile, Kim Ki-ri and Moon Ji-in, who married in 2024, experienced the pain of a miscarriage early in their marriage. After 12 failed IVF attempts over a year, they successfully conceived naturally, receiving many congratulations.
