Hwang Shin-hye Reunites with Kwon Oh-joong After 22 Years, Expresses Gratitude

Actress Hwang Shin-hye has reunited with actor Kwon Oh-joong after 22 years, expressing her gratitude.

On the 29th, Hwang Shin-hye shared several photos on her social media with the caption, "So glad to see Oh-joong again." The released photos include behind-the-scenes cuts from the KBS1 show 'Living Together,' featuring Kwon Oh-joong. In the photos, Kwon Oh-joong is seen enjoying a meal with Hwang Shin-hye, Jung Ga-eun, and broadcaster Jang Yoon-jung, all dressed in matching floral vests and pants.

Particularly, Hwang Shin-hye and Kwon Oh-joong are seen sitting side by side, smiling brightly at the camera, creating a warm atmosphere. In another photo, Hwang Shin-hye, holding an umbrella and wearing a raincoat, is seen linking arms with Kwon Oh-joong, showcasing their special friendship. Hwang Shin-hye expressed deep gratitude towards Kwon Oh-joong, who stayed by her side during her father's funeral, saying, "A gratitude I will never forget in my life. He is among the top three people I am thankful for."

Previously, Kwon Oh-joong married a non-celebrity six years his junior in 1996 and has a son. In 2023, he appeared on the MBN show 'Adults Don't Know High School Mom and Dad 4' and revealed his son's battle with a rare disease. He shared, "My son is 27 years old. There is no name for the disease. There is an issue with the 385th gene," adding, "He cannot generate energy throughout his body, and it is noticeable when he walks. There are very few cases worldwide, and my son was the first diagnosed in Korea in 2017, with two more cases found since."

Meanwhile, the two actors first connected 22 years ago, playing siblings in the drama 'Match Made in Heaven.' Kwon Oh-joong and Hwang Shin-hye are set to reunite on the KBS1 show 'Hwang Shin-hye's Living Together,' airing on the 29th, to share their updates after 22 years.
