Former Chungju Official Kim Sun-tae Addresses Rumors of Blue House Offer
On the 27th, the YouTube channel 'Calm Man' released a video titled 'Former Chungju Man Kim Sun-tae & Pani Bottle Special Guest.' In the video, Kim Sun-tae met with webtoon artist-turned-broadcaster Calm Man (real name Lee Byung-gun) and travel creator Pani Bottle to share updates on his life.
In the video, Kim Sun-tae stated, "I've been living a busy life. Starting a YouTube channel has been more challenging than I expected," adding, "I've hired an employee to help me." Pani Bottle revealed that Kim Sun-tae had sought advice multiple times before launching his personal YouTube channel, saying, "He asked me honestly, 'How much do you earn in a year?' I told him, 'If you start a channel, you'll easily get 500,000 subscribers,' but no one expected it to grow this much," bringing laughter.
Regarding the decline in subscribers on Chungju's YouTube channel after his departure, Kim Sun-tae said he had anticipated it, stating, "Initially, I thought it was normal to lose some subscribers, but losing over 200,000 was unexpected," expressing his regret. He added, "I hope Chungju continues to do well. I never want to see it fail after my departure. I'm always cheering for them." He also clarified, "The current promotional officers running Chungju's YouTube channel were scouted. Although it's usually the HR team's authority, I recommended them due to the special nature of the job," emphasizing, "It's definitely not favoritism."
Previously, former officer Kim Sun-tae launched his YouTube channel 'Kim Sun-tae' in March. Following his resignation, there were speculations about his move to the Blue House, but he confirmed that while he met with Blue House officials, he did not receive an offer to join.
As of 2 PM on April 28, Kim Sun-tae's channel boasts 1.65 million subscribers. Since its launch, he has collaborated with various sectors, including finance, food service, and local government promotions, creating promotional videos that have made a significant impact.
