DAVINK Returns After 6 Years with New EP Featuring Lovelyz's Kei

DAVINK's long-awaited EP includes four tracks, such as 'How Can I Forget You' and 'What Should I Do'. The title track, 'How Can I Forget You', features Kei, the main vocalist of Lovelyz. DAVINK, known for his work with producer Yoon Sang as part of the team 1piece, has been instrumental in creating Lovelyz's debut song 'Good Night Like Yesterday', as well as hits like 'Ah-Choo' and 'Hi~'.
The title track 'How Can I Forget You' captures the poignant emotions of accepting a breakup with the hope of reuniting in the future. It showcases DAVINK's unique lyrical style through a blend of acoustic piano and intricate electronic sound design.
For his first release in six years, DAVINK invited Kei, who has grown from a girl group member to a solo artist, to feature on the track. He believed that 'How Can I Forget You' would highlight the strengths and charm of Kei's voice.
DAVINK's agency, Damusique, stated, "Kei's clear voice and dramatic expression add depth to the song's emotion. The two have maintained a friendship as producer and artist since Lovelyz's debut 12 years ago. We are confident that 'How Can I Forget You' is a perfect collaboration that reflects their deep understanding of each other's music. This work encapsulates DAVINK's refined music and storytelling, honed over six years."
DAVINK debuted as a member of the band Wittgenstein, formed by the late Shin Hae-chul. He has been active as a singer-songwriter, composer, and producer. Through solo albums like 'Departure Lounge' (2012), 'The Moment Flying' (2013), 'Turbulence' (2015), and 'Just Arrived' (2017), he has consistently explored the theme of 'travel', earning the nickname 'Sound Traveller'.
DAVINK's new EP 'The Way to the Land – Session 1' is set to be released on May 5th at noon on online music platforms. He plans to continue the 'The Way to the Land' series in the future.
