BLACKPINK's Jisoo Shines at Cannes Amidst Family Controversy
On April 23rd, Jisoo attended the festival held in Cannes, France. The festival's official social media account shared a photo of Jisoo on the pink carpet with the caption, "Queen JISOO on our (black)PINK Carpet!"
In another photo, Jisoo is seen signing autographs and waving to fans who gathered at the event, highlighting her global popularity as numerous journalists and fans flocked to see her.
At the opening ceremony of the 9th Cannes International Series Festival, Jisoo was honored with the 'Madame Figaro Rising Star Award.'
Recently, Jisoo has been embroiled in a family issue. Her brother is under investigation for alleged sexual assault against a female BJ, and further allegations have surfaced from his ex-wife. It was revealed that her brother's name was initially listed as the company representative in the credits of Jisoo's project 'Monthly Boyfriend,' but was later removed, escalating the controversy. Jisoo's legal representative stated that the allegations against her brother are "completely unrelated to the artist." Jisoo quietly departed for France on April 22nd, canceling her scheduled airport appearance and wearing a hat and mask.
