Singer d4vd Charged with Murder of Teenage Girl, Denies All Allegations
According to reports from TMZ and the Associated Press on the 20th, d4vd has been indicted on charges including first-degree murder, sexual offenses against a minor, and mutilation of a corpse in connection with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas. In court, he has pleaded not guilty and demanded that the prosecution disclose evidence or drop the charges.
The case came to light following a report of a foul odor emanating from a vehicle. Responding officers discovered parts of the victim's body in a bag in the trunk, which had been left to decompose for an extended period.
Prosecutors allege that d4vd sexually abused the victim over a long period starting when she was under 14 years old. They claim he committed the murder after being threatened with exposure and subsequently mutilated the body, leaving it in the vehicle for several months.
The charges include first-degree murder with special circumstances such as ambush, financial motive, and the elimination of witnesses related to the investigation. Prosecutors have reportedly secured extensive digital evidence related to the case.
d4vd's defense team has denied all charges and requested a preliminary hearing within 10 days. If the prosecution fails to present sufficient evidence and witnesses during this hearing, the case could potentially be dismissed.
d4vd is a rising singer-songwriter known for hits like 'Romantic Homicide' and 'Here With Me,' gaining popularity on TikTok and YouTube. He has also built a following in South Korea through performances and music show appearances.
The truth of the case is expected to be determined through the upcoming trial.
