Girls' Generation's Yuri Reveals Plans for a Unique Accommodation Project in Jeju
Girls' Generation member Yuri has surprised fans with her deep affection for Jeju Island and her plans to embark on a unique accommodation project there.

On the 16th, a video titled 'Can't Even Guess How Much I Paid in Cancellation Fees' was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Stayfolio.' In the video, Yuri met with singer-songwriter Lee Sang-soon, who is also the husband of singer Lee Hyori and has previously lived in Jeju.

Discussing her current lifestyle of traveling between Jeju and Seoul, Yuri expressed her special fondness for Jeju, saying, "I used to go to Jeju when I had no work, but now I come to Seoul only when I have work." Lee Sang-soon shared a similar sentiment, "While living in Jeju, I didn't travel around much. But recently, I had a chance to visit briefly, and it was wonderful. I realized we lived in such a beautiful place and decided I should visit more often."

Yuri added, "There are many days when I book a flight on the same day. I often cancel my return flight to stay longer, sometimes extending my stay by 3 to 4 weeks." Lee Sang-soon reminisced, "When I lived in Jeju, visiting Seoul was always fun because everything was available there," showing his understanding of Yuri's love for Jeju.

When Lee Sang-soon asked Yuri how she would design an accommodation, she revealed, "I'm actually planning to do that now. I'm working on a project to revitalize empty houses. There are too many inefficiently used houses in Jeju, and I want to regenerate and repurpose them so people can stay there."

Meanwhile, Yuri has also shared her life in Jeju through the 2024 web variety show 'Pinggye-go.' She expressed her contentment with Jeju living, saying, "I'm going back there. I do yoga, go into the sea to catch fish, and float on the water under the sun. There are no cameras or filming involved."
