Pregnant actress Nam Bo-ra has received a normal diagnosis following a retest for gestational diabetes.

On the 14th, Nam Bo-ra shared a photo on her Instagram.

The image shows Nam Bo-ra taking a mirror selfie. She is dressed comfortably in a shirt and hat, ready to go out. With one hand on her belly, she smiles naturally. Before the test, she expressed her nervousness with the caption, "Going for a gestational diabetes retest today. Hoping for normal results." Later, she shared her relief with the words, "It's normal."

Another image reveals the test results, stating "Detailed examination results: normal," catching attention. Excited by the normal results, Nam Bo-ra humorously mentioned, "I'm going to buy brown sugar watermelon," expressing her joy.

Gestational diabetes occurs due to hormonal changes during pregnancy, leading to improper blood sugar regulation. Without proper management, it can cause excessive fetal growth, preterm birth, or delivery complications, and increase the risk of hypertension or postpartum diabetes in mothers. Therefore, consistent management through diet and blood sugar control is crucial.

Nam Bo-ra married a businessman of the same age in May last year. She announced her pregnancy seven months after marriage and is due to give birth in June.

Recently, Nam Bo-ra revealed on her YouTube channel that she faced unexpected health challenges while preparing for pregnancy. She shared, "Before marriage, a health check revealed abnormal cells that could develop into cancer, though it wasn't cervical cancer." She explained, "In March last year, I underwent surgery to remove the abnormal cells, and it took about two months to fully recover."
