IU Reveals Secrets About Co-Star Byeon Woo-seok on 'Salon Drip'
On the 14th, the YouTube web variety show 'Salon Drip', hosted by Jang Do-yeon, featured the cast of MBC's '21st Century Grand Lady', including IU, Byeon Woo-seok, Noh Sang-hyun, and Gong Seung-yeon.
During the show, IU revealed that her reason for joining '21st Century Grand Lady' was Byeon Woo-seok. She stated, "The character Seong Hee-joo has a unique and not-so-good personality, which made it more attractive. I decided to join right after reading the script."
Meanwhile, Gong Seung-yeon humorously added, "I wanted to jump on this train with these hot actors," eliciting laughter.
The atmosphere on set was lively. IU gifted Pepero and speakers, while Noh Sang-hyun wore a Santa hat on Christmas and shared snacks he personally selected with the staff. Byeon Woo-seok also created custom shoes with '21' engraved on them as gifts, and during the wrap party, the cast held a lucky draw with gold, heating up the scene.
IU described director Park Joon-hwa's style as "a morning person who gets sleepy after dinner, leading to very early calls, sometimes as early as 4 AM."
While IU was satisfied with having 'evenings', Byeon Woo-seok expressed slight dissatisfaction, saying, "It wasn't to this extent," referring to the early call times. He admitted, "My condition varies between morning and evening," to which IU humorously added, "He looks more handsome as the evening progresses," causing laughter.
